No-Show Policies and Procedures
No-shows and late cancellations are production killers. Every attempt must be made to minimize these occurrences. Because we must get into the habit of valuing our time, we must be strick in enforcing the following rules
Penalty System
Late Cancellation - Less than 24 hour notice (business day, i.e. must call by Friday to cancel for Monday)
No-Show - Patient does not arrive to the appointment, and never cancels
1st offense - Warning by phone call. Reschedule appointment, if necessary.
2nd offense - $50 charge. Notify patient by phone call. Reschedule for no more than 1 hour or 1 procedure.
3rd offense - $50 charge. Notify patient by phone call. Final warning. Reschedule for no more than 1 procedure.
4th offense - $50 charge. Notify patient by mail, that they should seek oral health care at another office.
- Extenuating circumstances should be given grace.
- Offenses must occur within a 12 month period.
- Special circumstances must be referred immediately to the patient care coordinator.
- Final decision will be made by the patient care coordinator.
